Dignity – (EU) National Seminar

In the end of the project a workshop on sharing the experience and findings of the ‘Sri Lanka – A Society that value Human Dignity’ project was conducted by the FRC on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The main objective of the event was to share the experiences obtained throughout the project with stakeholders and other relevant parties. The discussion at the event focused on the findings of the project, Sri Lanka Foundation’s view on training the Law enforcement agencies such as Police and Prison Officers, Lawyer’s opinions about the training, the role of Law enforcement agencies such as Police and Prison, Forum Theatre as a tool to communicate, JMO’s view of the project, practices and laws in place for torture in Sri Lanka and so on. The Delegates from EU, Commissioner of the Human Rights Commission, a host of prominent figures including the Commissioner, Human Rights Commission Sri Lanka, Clinical Psychologist /Programme Director, Family Rehabilitation Centre, Lecturer, Sri Lanka Foundation, Director, Act4:Theatre for Change, Chief Judicial Medical Officer, Lawyer and Director, Centre for Research and Training in Corrections – Prison, shared their findings and ideas during the event.
