Prevention

Under the psychosocial prevention pillar, the target is to promote mental health and well-being within the community. This involves creating awareness and education on mental health issues and breaking the stigma surrounding them. Through this pillar, Family Rehabilitation center (FRC) aims to reduce the risk factors contributing to poor mental health, such as poverty, violence, and social exclusion.

One of the ways we address psychosocial prevention is by conducting community outreach programs, workshops, and trainings on mental health awareness. This includes topics on stress management, coping mechanisms, and building resilience. By equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge, we aim to prevent the development of mental health issues and promote positive mental health practices.

In addition, we also work with schools and universities to promote mental health education and provide support for students. This can involve setting up counselling services by targeting young individuals, FRC aims to prevent the onset of mental health issues and promote a more positive and understanding attitude towards them.

Moreover, our organisation also advocates for the rights of individuals with mental health issues. This includes supporting policy changes and addressing barriers to accessing mental health services. We believe that creating a supportive and inclusive environment is crucial for promoting mental health and preventing issues from arising.
